As the college season continues on, we continue with our Rawlings Alumni Updates. Below are the highlights from the sixth week of the season.

Ari Sechopoulos - College of Charleston

Senior first baseman Ari Sechopoulos had a big week for the College of Charleston; the lefty slugger picked up his first three bombs of the season, leaving the yard twice against Coastal Carolina, and picking up another one later in the week. He drove in six runs in total.

Corben Peters - Grambling University

In a pair of appearances in week six, Peters threw 1.1 innings, picking up a strikeout and leaving opponents hitless.

Jordan Marks - USC Upstate

Same old same old from Marks. Just another 6.2 innings of scoreless baseball on Friday with a pedestrian ten strikeouts. He’s now pitching to a 1.83 earned run average on the season, with 47 strikeouts in 39.1 innings. Meanwhile, USC Upstate is 16-5.

Owen Diodati - University of Alabama

Diodati and the Crimson Tide played Ole Miss over the weekend, and ran into a few tough pitching matchups. On Friday, they faced highly regarded prospect Gunnar Hoglund, and Dio left the yard. Meanwhile, he picked up another hit on Saturday. Alabama is set to face Tennessee this weekend.

Tyrus Barclay - University of Mary

Barclay picked up a pair of hits on Thursday against Concordia-St. Paul, and drove in a run with a double. The Marauders are set to face Winona State University for a double header on Tuesday.

Alex Orenczuk - LSU Alexandria

Orenczuk picked up six more hits this past week and drove a two-run blast over the wall for yet another home run in his strong 2021 season. This is nothing new, as the London, Ont. native seems to add a handful of hits to his season totals each week.

Matt Duffy - Canisius College

Duffy started his first collegiate game against Iona College on Sunday and went three innings allowing two earned runs, striking out four. It didn't take long for the Burlington, Ont. native to start for Canisius, and he looks to be a big part of their pitching staff moving forward.

Ethan Baptie - Dodge City CC

Baptie is still up above the .300 mark on the season. He picked up two more hits on the weekend and drove in a run. He’s hitting an even .300 for Dodge CC.
