As we enter week three of the college season, we look at how GLC's alumni performed this past week. There were a pair of grand slams, plenty of solid pitching appearances, and a lot of standout performances.

Highlights

Max Wright - Indiana State University

With a hit in each of Indiana State's four games this past week, Wright now has a seven-game hitting streak to start the season. The Toronto, Ontario native walked three times in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday and hit his second bomb of the year in the second game. He enters week three hitting .360.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday against NC A&T, he drove in three runs with a double in a 16-2 win. The outfielder is off to a good start with his new club.

Lawson Burnett - Northwood University

Burnett, a senior from London, Ontario, opened his season with Northwood on the 27th and picked up a pair of hits and drove in a run during his first appearance in Sunday’s game against Indianapolis. The Timberwolves swept the weekend series.

Garner Spoljaric - Stetson University

Spoljaric had another solid performance in a Stetson win vs North Alabama. He threw one inning and struck out one, not allowing a run. The Hatters are perfect thus far, and on Wednesday, will look to bring their win streak to double-digits.

Alex Orenczuk - LSU Alexandria

After a great first week, Orenczuk continued his damage this past weekend. He added five hits over the three games LSU Alexandria played. Meanwhile, he drove in seven runs, in large part thanks to his grand slam in Friday’s game. He is off to a spectacular start to his year.

Jameson Hart - William & Penn University

Hart, a Sarnia, Ontario native, has been a force in William & Penn’s lineup. After a big week, he’s now hitting .360 on the year and slugging .600. He’s been a key factor to the club’s 6-1 start.

Nicholas George - William & Penn University

George picked up his first collegiate hit over the weekend, driving in a run in the process. Like Hart, a Sarnia, Ontario native, the freshman is now one for five on the year.

Eric Martin - Olney CC

Martin opened his season with a bang for Olney CC. Not only has he picked up eight hits, but he’s gone deep twice, including a grand slam on Saturday. The Kitchener, Ontario native is absolutely tearing the cover off the ball to start the year with Olney.
