As the first month of college baseball comes to a close, our GLC Alumni are hard at work working towards conference championships. Here is a rundown on this past week for all of the former GLC Canadians.

Owen Diodati - FR - University of Alabama

Diodati and his blazing hot Crimson Tide continued their early season dominance taking three from Harvard this past weekend. Dio continued to play a big role in Alabama's hot start as he set a school record on Friday night with five walks in one game before adding a huge pinch hit RBI single on Saturday. He would close out his weekend with a one for three performance on Sunday in a 6-3 Crimson Tide win.

Brian Zapp - FR - Miami (OH) University

Zapp continues to see significant time as Freshman with three more starts this weekend as the RedHawks battled UAB. Offensively, he scored two runs on the weekend while walking four times and collecting a hit on Friday night.

Christian Coombes - FR - St. Peter's University

Coombes, another GLC Alum that is seeing plenty of time in his Freshman season saw action in his fifth and sixth games this past weekend at the Citadel. In two outings, Coombes allowed only one hit.

Jackson Wahl - FR - Bethel University

Wahl made another two starts behind the plate for the Pilots on Saturday as they split a DH down in Florida. Wahl continued a stellar Freshman season at the plate adding a hit in both games while driving in three as well. Wahl has now started in all eight of Bethels games this spring.

Cam Sanderson - FR - University of British Columbia

Sanderson continues to impress in his first year at UBC. In a four game sweep this weekend, Cam led the T-Birds offensively with hits in three of four starts including two multi-hit efforts. After going three for four on Friday night, his weekend was highlighted by a two for four performance on Sunday which saw him drive in four en route to an 11-4 UBC win. In this same game, Cameron also stole four bases before adding a fifth stolen base of the weekend in the finale on Sunday. Sanderson has now stole nine bases on the year and has yet to be thrown out.

Ethan Baptie - FR - Dodge City CC

Baptie made two starts on the weekend for the Conqs and pitched in with a hit and a run scored in a game one loss. He would walk in both games as well.

Jacob Gajic - FR - Highland CC

Gajic made his fourth start of the season on Sunday for the Scotties. The lefty from Hamilton, went five innings and struck out three.

Jason Boulanger - SO - Rend Lake CC

Boulanger, the UIndy commit, saw his second relief appearance of the year on Saturday. Bou struck out two en route to a clean inning of work.

Jacob English - SO - Roane St CC

English made his fifth start of the season on Sunday for Roane State. He scattered two hits and struck out three. They will head to Cleveland State next week for another in conference battle.

Brett Corbeth - SO - University of British Columbia

Corbeth made two starts this weekend again for the T-Birds in their four game series sweep over Oregon Tech. Offensively, his weekend was highlighted by a two for three performance on Sunday which saw him score three runs. He would also add two walks and a stolen base in the same game. Corb also pitched in on the mound over the weekend throwing a scoreless inning of relief to close out a 6-1 win in the finale.

Eric Cerantola - So - Mississippi State University

Cerantola made his third start of the season on Sunday for the Bulldogs going five innings allowing two runs and striking out four. On the season, he has struck out eighteen in fourteen innings of work while posting a 1.93 ERA.

Kyle Maves - SO - Quinnipiac University

Maves, the Burlington native broke out this weekend at the plate for the Bobcats as well. On Sunday, Maves collected three hits, scored two runs and picked up his first RBI of the season. The former GLC MVP would also steal his first base of the season in the contest on Sunday.

Cal Theal - SO - Niagara University

Theal had himself a nice clean outing on Sunday in a Niagara loss. In his inning of work, his second on the year, Cal held Cornell to one hit while not allowing a run.

Griffin Hassall - SO - Kansas State University

Hassall, made his season debut this weekend for the Wildcats starting right where he left off last year in an impressive Freshman season. In an inning of work Griff allowed only one hit en route to a scoreless inning in a KState win.

Spencer Marcus - SO - Niagara University

Marcus made his seventh start of the season for Niagara on Saturday on the front end of a twin bill against Cornell. He walked in the Purple Eagles win.

Isaac Deveaux - SO - University of Utah

Deveaux saw action in all three of the Utes games this weekend making the start in two. On Saturday he collected a hit and scored two runs in a 9-5 Utah win over UTA.

Noah Skirrow - SO - Liberty University

Making his third start of the year, Skirrow was dominant in his five and a third inning of work not allowing a hit and striking out five. Two other Liberty pitchers would follow Skirrow and deny Marist of any hits as well leading to a combined no-hitter for the Flames.

Noah Myers - JR - University of South Carolina

Myers and his Gamecocks welcomed in state rival and the national powerhouse Clemson Tigers to town this past weekend in Columbia. Noah started all three games in Centrefield while leading off for South Carolina. After working a walk on Friday night, Myers was instrumental in a Saturday win adding a hit, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Corben Peters - JR - Grambling State University

Peters worked his third outing of the year last week in a mid-week game versus Texas College. In two innings of relief, he struck out two and didn't walk a batter.

Garner Spoljaric - JR - Stetson University

Gar is quickly establishing himself as the "go-to" guy out of the Hatters bullpen. This weekend he was called upon in another close game and would end up striking out seven in four innings of work as the game was extended into extra innings. With the effort, Spoljaric picked up his third win of the season and has now struck out fourteen in eight innings of work.

Daniel Warkentin - JR - Eastern Michigan University

Break out weekend for Danny Boy as he explodes offensively to lead the Eagles at the plate. Highlighted by a three for four performance on Saturday night, Warkentin finished the weekend with seven hits, three RBIS and three runs scored.

Jordan Marks - JR - USC Upstate

Another Friday night and another solid effort put in by the Spartans Ace. Marks would record his third quality start in a row going six innings and striking out ten. The former GLC RHP has now struck out twenty-five batters in twenty innings while holding a 0.89 ERA.

Lawson Burnett - JR - Northwood University

Burnett made his first start of the season for the T-Wolves on Sunday in a 6-3 Northwood win. Burnett and the T-Wolves head down to Lakeland, FL this week to take on Division II powerhouse Florida Southern.

Jacob Douglas - JR - Ft. Hays University

Douglas made his sixth appearance of the season on Sunday for Ft. Hays University down in Kansas. In two and two third innings of work, he struck out two. Douglas continues to be a reliable option out of the Tiger bullpen as they head deeper into conference play.

Alex Orenczuk - JR - LSU Alexandria

Orenczuk made two more starts this weekend for the Generals and pitched in offensively en route to series win for LSUA. In a Friday win, Al scored twice while also collecting a hit and a walk.

Jameson Hart - JR - William Penn University

Another big week for the Junior outfielder from Sarnia. Hart made four more starts on the weekend and paced the Statesmen offensive yet again. In a Friday win, Hart was two for three with two runs batted and would also score a run. In an 8-2 win on Sunday, Hart hit his fourth homer of the season and drove in his team leading twenty-fourth run.

Jake Wilson - SR - Bowling Green University

Wilson made three more starts for the Falcons this weekend and highlighted their offense with a hit and an RBI on Saturday in a tough 2-1 loss. Wilson and Bowling Green will head to St. Louis this coming weekend for a three game set.

Ari Sechopoulos - SR - College of Charleston

The Senior clean-up hitter extended his hitting streak to seven games on Friday night in a Cougars win. Going three for four and driving in three, the first baseman continues to lead College of Charleston in games started (9), batting average (.382) and RBI (14).

Michael Mommersteeg - SR - Valparaiso University

Mommersteeg, the southpaw from St. Thomas made his third outing of the year this past Saturday. His Crusaders will head to Georgia this coming weekend to take on Georgia Southern.

Tyrus Barclay - SR - Emporia State University

The Senior catcher was instrumental in securing a three game series sweep in the opening weekend of conference play for the Hornets. On Sunday, Barclay was one for two with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 10-6 Emporia win over conference rival, Missouri Southern State.

Mat Szabo - SR - Young Harris University

Another strong outing this weekend for the GLC Original, Szabo. In his fourth start of the season, he struck out six through five innings of work. Szabo continues to lead the #33 ranked Young Harris Mountain Lions in strike outs (40), opponents average (.066) and wins (3).

Eric Lindsay - SR - Friends University

Lindsay made his fourth appearance of the year on Wednesday for Friends. He pitched into the four and a third, he struck out three in a 16-8 win for the Falcons.

Carter Sanderson - SR - Alma College

Sanderson and his Alma College Scots continued their southern trip this week down in Winter Haven, Florida. The Senior saw action in seven games and collected six hits including a two for two day at the plate on Wednesday. Carter would also drive in two in as many games on Thursday in two Alma wins.
