Christian Coombes - FR - St. Peter's University

Coombes has now made four appearances early in his freshman year for the Peacocks. After making his first collegiate start during the mid-week last week, he came in and threw a scorless, hitless inning of relief on Friday while striking out one. St. Peter's travels to the Citadel on Friday for a weekend series.

Brian Zapp - FR - Miami (OH) University

Zapp broke through with his first collegiate hit on Friday night in a Red Hawks win. He would help Miami finish off a weekend sweep on Sunday going one for three and scoring a run. Miami will take on Dayton this week before heading to Alabama for a three game weekend set against UAB.

Owen Diodati - FR - University of Alabama

Fresh off being named SEC Freshman of the week in his first week of collegiate baseball, Diodati continued to roll for the Crimson Tide. During the mid-week he collected two more hits along with an RBI and added his 10th RBI of the season in a Friday win en route to a weekend sweep of UNLV. Alabama moves to 7-0 on the season and will host GLC Alumni Matt Jenkins and his Harvard University Crimson this coming weekend.

Michael MacDougall - FR - University of Indianapolis

MacDougall (Toronto, ON) made his collegiate debut this past weekend in a Greyhounds win against Notre Dame College. The big right hander put in an inning of work while only allowing one hit. U Indy will host their home opener on Friday at Greyhound Park.

Jackson Wahl - FR - Bethel University

Wahl made three more starts this weekend for the 13-4 Pilots adding two more hits to his impressive Freshman year. Hits this weekend included his first collegiate homerun, a three run shot in a 9-0 win on Saturday. Wahl has now played in fourteen of the seventeen games for Bethel and is hitting .314. Bethel will travel to Florida this week for the Russ Matt Invitational.

Cam Sanderson - FR - University of British Columbia

Sanderson started four games this weekend for the T-Birds in a big series against conference rival Lewis and Clark State. In his four starts, Sanderson reached based safely in three of them and added four hits and two RBIs on the weekend.

Jacob Gajic - FR - Highland CC

Gajic (Hamilton, ON) made his third start of the year for the Scotties on Saturday. In four innings of work, he struck out four. He will toe the rubber again this coming weekend as Highland opens conference play at Butler CC

Brett Corbeth - SO - University of British Columbia

Corbeth also pitched in this weekend in a big way for UBC on both sides of the ball. In four starts, offensively Corbeth added four hits, including two multi-hit games. In a big win on Saturday, Corbeth went 2-3 with 4 RBIs, a double, a triple and two walks. He would also close out a win on Saturday for t he T-Birds on the mound working a scoreless inning and striking out one.

Eric Cerantola - So - Mississippi State University

The big right hander from Oakville had another solid outing in his second start of the year on Sunday for the Bulldogs. Going five innings, Cerantola gave up only one earned while scattering three hits and striking out six against Oregon State. He will make his third start next week against Long Beach State.

Kyle Maves - SO - Quinnipiac University

Maves started three more games for the Bobcats this weekend and added walks in both Fridays and Sundays games. Quinnipiac looks to get things rolling next weekend as they head to Virginia to take on VMI in a three game set.

Spencer Marcus - SO - Niagara University

Marcus, another former GLC that has now started all of his teams games this season had a big day on Sunday helping Niagara clinch a weekend series win over NC Central. Marcus scored two runs and added two hits to lead the Purple Eagles to a 9-6 win. They will head to Virginia next week to take on Cornell for four games.

Isaac Deveaux - SO - University of Utah

Deveaux made three more starts this weekend for the Utes and collected a hit while walking on Friday night en route to a Utah win. Deveaux and the Utes will head to Arlington next weekend to take on the UTA Mavericks.

Noah Skirrow - SO - Libery University

Skirrow (Hamilton, ON) made his second start of the season this past Saturday for the Flames where he collected his first win of the season. Through six and a third innings pitched, Skirrow didn't allow a run and struck out six. He and his Liberty Flames will welcome Marist University to town this coming weekend.

Jason Boulanger - SO - Rend Lake CC

Boulanger made his 2020 debut this past weekend for Rend Lake as they opened up their season. In two innings of relief he struck out four and scattered two hits for the Warriors.

Jacob English - SO - Roane St CC

English made his fourth start of the season on Saturday for Roane State. He went four innings allowing two hits and no earned runs.

Noah Myers - JR - University of South Carolina

Myers (Wyoming, ON) got the start this week for the Gamecocks in their mid-week matchup and produced two hits and an RBI in a lopsided South Carolina win. The reigning NJCAA stolen base king would add a stolen base on Friday night against Northwestern as well after walking and being hit by a pitch.

Corben Peters - JR - Grambling State University

Peters (Ottawa, ON) made his second relief appearance of the year in a mid-week game this past Wednesday for Grambling. He went an inning and a third and gave up three hits. His Tigers will travel to San Antonio next weekend to take on UTSA.

Garner Spoljaric - JR - Stetsion University

Spoljaric would grab his second win of the year in his second appearance on Sunday in a series clinching win for the Hatters. The closer has yet to record a save, but leads his teams in wins with two as they close out week two. Stetson hosts in state powerhouse, Florida on Wednesday night before welcoming UMBC to town on the weekend for three.

Daniel Warkentin - JR - Eastern Michigan University

Danny started his sixth game of the young season on Sunday for the Eagles and collected three hits in a losing effort. He added RBIs in both other games on the weekend as well. Eastern will continue their southern swing down in Florida on Tuesday against FGSU before kicking off the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte on Friday.

Jordan Marks - JR - USC Upstate

The USC Upstate Ace posted another dominant start in his second outing of the year on Friday night. Marks went seven strong, scoreless innings in a winning effort against Momouth. Along with picking up his second win in as many starts, Marks struck out six. Through fourteen innings the former GLC workhorse has yet to give up a run for the Spartans. Marks will take the mound next weekend at home against Western Kentucky.

Lawson Burnett - JR - Northwood University

Burnett saw his first action of the young season on Sunday getting a pinch hit opportunity for his Timberwolves. Northwood will head to Kentucky State next weekend for a three game set.

Jacob Douglas - JR - Ft. Hays University

The reliable JR righty saw action in his fifth game of the season on Sunday and extended into four innings of work giving up one earned. Through five outings, Douglas is 1-1 with two saves and a 3.86 ERA. He and the Tigers will open up MIAA conference play next weekend at Pitt State.

Alex Orenczuk - JR - LSU Alexandria

Orenczuk got into two games this weekend getting pinch hit opportunities in both. The London native has seen action in six of the ten games for LSU Alexandria on the year.

Jameson Hart - JR - William Penn University

Hart made two more starts this weekend for his Statesman as he continues to lead his team in games started (13 of 13). The Junior added his seventeeth and eighteenth RBI on Saturday in a tough 6-5 loss. Hart, leads William and Penn in RBIs (16) and total bases (27) so far this season.

Brett Reid - JR - Okanagan College

Brett and his Coyotes wrapped up their southern trip through the US playing different levels of college competition this past week. Reid (Exeter, ON) saw action in two games before being rained out on the final day where he was scheduled to pitch. Highlighting the week was a Coyotes win over Central AZ CC and a two and two thirds inning relief appearance by Reid against a strong Salt Lake CC club.

Jake Wilson - SR - Bowling Green University

Wilson, led off for the Falcons in all three games of their series this weekend. He collected two multi-hit games while scoring a run in both Friday night and Saturday games. The senior has started every single game in CF for Bowling Green and will look to continue his solid start this weekend as he and the Falcons take on Murray State.

Ari Sechopoulos - SR - College of Charleston

The senior from Windsor, ON continues to produce bigtime numbers in the middle of College of Charlestons line up. In a three game weekend sweep, Sechopolous collected five hits, including two multi hit games and drove in six while scoring twice for the 5-1 Cougars. Sechopoulos leads his team in RBIs with eleven through two weeks of the season. After a mid-week game against Coastal Carolina, Ari and the Cougars will host Xavier for a three game series this weekend.

Michael Mommersteeg - SR - Valparaiso University

Mommersteeg saw action this weekend for the Crusaders as they visited top ranked Louisville down in Kentucky. He pitched Valpo out of a jam on Saturday night retiring the only batter he faced. His Crusaders head to Lake Charles this coming weekend for four games.

Tyrus Barclay - SR - Emporia State University

The senior catcher drove in a run and walked in a slugfest win for the Hornets on Saturday before Emporia would win the series finale on Sunday. Barclay will also open up MIAA conference play this coming weekend against Missouri Southern State, alma mater of former GLC player and current GLC coach, Garan Stevens.

Mat Szabo - SR - Young Harris University

The dominant year for former GLC RHP Mat Szabo continued on Saturday where he would work seven innings of no hit baseball en route to his third win in as many starts. The senior from Sarnia has been almost unhitable this season in four apperances and has thirty-four strikeouts in nineteen innings for the Mountain Lions. Szabo and Young Harris will continue Peach Belt Conference play next weekend as they travel to Francis Marion.

Eric Lindsay - SR - Friends University

Lindsay saw action in his third game of the season for the Falcons on Saturday. In two innings of relief work, he struck out two en route to his second win of the season

Carter Sanderson - SR - Alma College

Sanderson made his second start of the season on Sunday for the Scots as they kick off a southern swing. The SR. second baseman scored two runs, collected one hit and walked in big 15-5 win. They will play seven more games this week on their trip.
