Nick Groves - Niagara University
Groves has been on a rampage at NU and was named MAAC Rookie of the Week. The freshman has slashed .338 at the plate this season, going 4-for-11 last week and stealing 5 bases.
Blake Jacklin - Yavapai College
Jacklin came up big time for Yavapai last week. He notched a pair of homers on Tuesday including a 2-run shot for a 4-hit, walk-off win against Glendale. Jacklin now has 5 home runs on the year.
Cal Theal - Niagara University
Theal made his first appearance since March 4 and never missed a beat. He threw a scoreless single inning and struck out the side. Theal and Niagara will take on Rider in a double header on Sunday.
Matt Duffy - Canisius College
Duffy notched Canisius’ 1000th program win in style. He threw 7 scoreless innings striking out 13 batters and limiting Iona to just 4 hits all game. Duffy and the Golden Griffins will continue their series against Iona in a doubleheader on Sunday.
Tyler Mosher - Davenport University
Mosher took one deep against Purdue Northwest for his second home run of the year. The Dutton, Ontario native has a .309 average at the dish and has started a 4-game hit streak beginning earlier this week.
Brett Corbeth - University of British Columbia
Corbeth had himself a day against Eastern Oregon yesterday. Playing centerfield for the Thunderbirds, Corbeth grabbed 5 hits and 5 runs in the doubleheader including 3 doubles. He increases his average to .337 on the season.
Ryan Lieng - Cleary University
Lieng was excellent for CU the last Tuesday. He threw a scoreless 2.2 innings and struck out 4 in his appearance. Cleary will take on Lawrence Tech in a 4-game set early next week.
Riley Silva - Barton Community College
Silva continues to stay hot for Barton CC. He swiped 3 bags last week and garnered 5 hits, while keeping his average at an impressive .419 on the season.
Brett Hecimovich - Kankakee Community College
Hecimovich has made some great appearances in relief for Kankakee. He picked up 7 strikeouts over his last 3 innings pitched and has not given up a run in that span. Kankakee will take on Highland in a doubleheader on Sunday.
Core Jackson - South Mountain Community College
Jackson keeps mashing at the plate, as he picked up a pair of triples and 8 hits total last week. Jackson is now hitting .314 over 34 games played this season.
Curtis McKay - Kankakee Community College
McKay grabbed a couple of hits against Oakton, including his first long ball of the year. McKay also notched walk and stolen base en route to a 13-3 win.
